Deformation Limits of Polymer Coated Metal Sheets

چکیده

Methods A Finite Element Method (FEM) model is used to simulate industrial forming processes such as bending and deepdrawing. The model consists of multiple polymer and metal layers. The simulations are performed using the FEM programMARC, which is coupled to an external program. The coupling is required for the meshing of the model and other features. Results Bending and deep-draw simulations have been performed with steel and multiple polymer layers, as shown in figure 4:
